I traditionally write about our holidays and the Hebb get-a-way in the Fall to keep the memories alive and record recipes, happenings, and the children. Another fantastic Thanksgiving!
We had Thanksgiving lunch earlier this year. We served lunch at 11:00. Parish, and I did a lot of prep work starting on Tuesday, and he got up at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday to get Turkey on the grill. Valentina helped with sweet potatoes and tried out her small bundt cake pan for a chocolate cake.

Our Menu
Parish/Anna – Turkey, Ham, Paper, Tea, Seltzer Waters, Apple and Sausage Stuffing, Bacon gravy, and fun crafts
Spencer/Victoria – Macaroni and Cheese and Rolls
Valentina – Sweet Potatoes
Lori/Levin – Mashed Potatoes
John/Linda – Green Beans, Cherry salad, can of Jellied Cranberries and Creamy Corn Casserole.
Grandma Lorrie – Broccoli and Cauliflower with Cheese sauce and sauerkraut
Carrie and Kyle – Mini Pumpkin Cheesecake with Maple Whipped Cream and Caramel drizzle
Parish decided to make the beer-brined Turkey, Apple/Sausage Stuffing, and Bacon Gravy.

It was lovely to have everyone over, and the food was delicious this year! We made “thankful trees” and a Christmas gingerbread house, and because the weather was exquisite, the older and younger children played games outside!
Glimmers:
Our Thankful circle and speaking thanks to the person to the left.
The children enjoying crafts together and playing with monster trucks.
The sound of laughter when the children played hide and seek, and bop the balloon.
My mom’s smile and presence.

Working with Parish as a team to accomplish and serve others.
Linda’s excitement about our trip to Italy and showing her some pictures (her request!).
Seeing Valentina in the kitchen and creating beauty through cooking.
Seeing the family sit in the breezeway room after Spencer, Jr. took a pretty bad fall throwing a fake snowball. Bless him. They circled around to comfort and talk.
