Always with me (Part B)

I wrote a post about You’ll Never Walk Alone, and the same morning, I woke up to my pray-as-you-go meditation app reminding me of God’s divine presence. I hope you have a chance to listen.

I smiled as I listened from my hotel room, preparing for another professional learning event. I wanted to open my blog and write more, but I decided to have a Part B. In the passage Jeremiah 1:1, 4- 10, God calls Jeremiah to a work, reminds him that He knew Him even before He was born, and calls Him by name.

The app asks this question:

“Imagine God speaking directly to you, calling you by name, and telling you He has known you before you were born. How might it feel to be known so intimately by God?”

I was reminded of our previous post’s discussion of individualism. God knows you specifically and has a plan for your life. He knew you before you were born and called you by name. My granddaughter, Adelaide Lamb, heard Him call her name on July 17, 2024, at a summer camp at her church and made the decision with childlike faith to follow Jesus as her Savior and friend. That morning, I sent a text to Victoria, feeling overwhelmed in my spirit that Adelaide would make a decision soon, if not today.

He has always been with us through the generations, and His promises continue to bless us.

A beautiful song: Always With Me
