When you read Genesis chapter 1, you find the creative goodness of God. After all his creations, he proclaimed, “It was good!”

“James offers us a picture of God as faithful to the intentions made clear from the beginning of creation: each one of us is made purposefully – God looks at us and finds us unique and good. How does it feel to have God’s loving gaze on you?” (Pray as you go, 9/1/2024)

Living in God’s goodness gives us eyes to see His beauty all around us. As I journal this morning, I see a hummingbird fly to the nectar, hear birds singing, and feel a gentle breeze—all of the beauty created for us to enjoy and learn from.

At times, it can be challenging to fully embrace the abundant goodness of God. Our everyday lives are often characterized by constant changes and unforeseen disruptions that lead to feelings of tension and doubt. In these moments, we turn to His unwavering promises and boldly affirm them. Even if I experience a range of emotions, I can steadfastly rely on His assurances. As you navigate through your day, my hope is that you will unmistakably perceive His love permeating your life. You will come to understand that He cherishes and loves you immeasurably.
