Believing Without Seeing: A Journey of Faith and Love

Advent continues, and Parish and I had time to listen together and discuss. The passage is from Matthew 9:27-31. Jesus heals blind men who cry out to him. They follow him into the house, and Jesus heals them. The question we discussed was how to relate our lives to that of the blind man. We do not physically see Him, but we believe. Why do we believe? How do we hear his voice and experience His love?

The opening song – Oh Light by Gungor

Oh light

God and man entwine

Of earth and of divine

Holy night

Oh light

Mending fractured earth

The soul now felt its worth

Holy night

Hallelujah

God is with us

Hallelujah

A light has come

How can we experience His light and love that will mend our fractured souls, knowing the soul’s worth?

We will continue to reflect on our time this morning with great expectations of how God will shine his light in our lives.
