How do we celebrate even when we feel like snuggling back in bed and forgetting the day? Seeing the beauty of the day ahead in the small things can bring a celebration or perhaps gratitude. Slow down enough to see the beauty. Currently, due to limited mobility in my left arm and hand, I can type for a short while before needing to rest. I’m also trying out Talk to Text or dictation. I see the microphone, but it’s not picking up my voice, so I’ll type for now. When limitations arise, gratitude deepens, and beauty becomes more evident.
Adelaide spent the night, and it was an early morning rise to teach her how to make sticky rolls. Parish’s idea. The gentle teaching, the smells, the togetherness. Celebration. One day at a time. Learning to bloom and re-bloom where I’m planted for now.
I’d love to share the moment with you and the recipe! It was fun to teach her all about “rapid-rise yeast!”

Our favorite part of the celebration – This reminded us of Valentina.
Look at sweet Valentina making bread with her daddy! She is now 21 years old, soon to be 22 this Spring.
