This was our favorite restaurant! Parish looks back on his lamb skewers with fond memories! Watch the video below of his lamb skewers on the fire!

Le Petit Châtelet is a charming, family-run restaurant in Paris, located near Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Shakespeare & Company bookstore. The building itself dates back to the 16th century, while the street it sits on has roots in the 13th century. This historic setting adds to the restaurant’s warm and inviting ambiance, featuring wood-burning fireplaces, rustic wooden decor, and a traditional Parisian exterior with a slanted roof and striped awning.
The restaurant is known for its classic French cuisine, offering dishes like escargot, beef filet, lamb skewers, and crème brûlée, many of which are cooked over an open fire in the fireplace. Guests appreciate the chalkboard menu, the knowledgeable staff, and the intimate atmosphere, though it can feel a bit cozy during busy hours.
Le Petit Châtelet has built a reputation for serving authentic French food while maintaining a welcoming environment for both locals and visitors. Its proximity to iconic landmarks makes it a popular spot for those looking to enjoy a traditional Parisian dining experience.

We made some reservations at restaurants, but not many. We decided to be more spontaneous, so this restaurant was a delightful surprise near our home and Notre Dame.

With engaging art on the wall and a dessert menu featuring crème brûlée, we were in heaven! And, yes, we ordered two crème brûlées—no sharing!
After a day in Reims and a great meal, resting on the coach is fitting. We also visited a local market.
