Pursue me

Pursue from the dictionary:

: to follow in order to overtake, capture
: to find or employ measures to obtain or accomplish
: to proceed along
: to engage in
: to follow-up or proceed with
Raising children.  I don’t have to finish that sentence because each one of us who are in the process, or are now grandparenting can give many descriptions of how wonderfully, challenging it is to guide children into adulthood.
I was driving in my car when I got a phone call from one of my children in which a discussion that took place required me to parent with forgiveness, mercy.  When I hung up the phone I was discouraged and angry, I turned on the radio to hear a song about forgiveness.  It was an overwhelming song about forgiving others when it’s hard, and for God to help us be merciful and loving.  I felt pursued by God as if He knew exactly what my heart and mind needed in the moment.  Jesus overtook me, captured my angry thoughts.  He applied measures to accomplish a forgiving spirit inside my mind. He was part of the telephone call, my drive, my very being and engaged with me.  And today, this morning, through scripture He is following up with me to make sure I understand.  Pursued.
Psalm 23:6
“Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”
Concentrate on that part of the verse.  Say it over and over again.  Believe it.  His goodness and unfailing love WILL pursue me ALL the days of my life.  He is there always, pursuing us with His unfailing love and goodness.  Jesus never lets you go.  We may try to hide from Him, or feel too ashamed to go to Him, but HE NEVER LETS GO AND HE PURSUES US.  His love is not fickle or conditioned base.  He doesn’t withhold His love from you if you don’t perform well.  He pursues you.
I’m a romantic, and I love movies where the man is pursuing the damsel in distress.  It’s just something about a man risking all to be with his love.  Jesus pursues us.  He gave His very life to rescue you, and continues to pursue you all the days of your life, until we dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
For men, Jesus is the ever-loving father who finds you to be significant, worthy, and gallant!

And I saw the heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and one sitting on it, called Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war in righteousness.” Revelation 19:11

What would warm my heart is to hear how Jesus is pursuing you.  What obvious signs, events, and circumstances could only be the Love of your life pursuing you?
I love music – it speaks to my soul.  I actually found the song God gave me on the radio yesterday.  WOW – I pray you truly take the time to listen and watch this video on the song Forgiveness by Matthew West.  Once again. I’m feeling pursued.
Jesus whispered to my heart after writing that last line.  “Anna, now that I have pursued you, will you walk in obedience?”  “My will is filled with peace, mercy, and joy.”  Will you pray for me?  (I’m tearing up.  I do that often with Jesus.)  Pray my heart and mind can be obedient, so that it would flow through my actions. I’m remembering the post of being obedient in the small things! God is truly working!!!!  Please know, that I pray for you.  I pray for those reading who need to feel pursued by God, and for obedience.  Amen

I remember as a child playing hide and seek. I would really try hard not to be found, but after a while I would cause something to happen so I would be found. Running away from God, Jesus, His Holy Spirit you will find lot’s of hiding places, but so much joy comes when you are found by God’s Spirit, The real revelation is He was there all the time,

    1. Reminds me of a song I used to hear you sing…Did you write it? It went something like “He was there all the time…”

I did not write the song, and I don’t remember any lines except the title of the song “HE WAS THERE ALL THE TIME” Another line of the song says waiting patiently in line.
