Hot Virginia Dip

From Tyra Lamb (mother of the groom-to-be)

This was served at the engagement party and has become a new family favorite for the Hebbs!  Thanks Lambs!

Hot Virginia Dip

1 Cup Pecans-chopped

1 Tsp. butter

16 oz Cream Cheese, softened

4 Tablespoons milk

5 Ounces dried beef (chopped)  –very hard to find in the grocery store but it’s there!  Ask for help!

1 Tsp. garlic salt

1 Cup Sour Cream

4 Tsp. onion-minced

Saute pecans in butter. Mix all ingredients well.  Place in baking dish and top with pecans.  Chill 1 hour before baking and serving time.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.  Serve hot with crackers or bread sticks.

Notes from Tyra:  “I never use the onions.  Don’t use light or fat free cream cheese or sour cream, it separates after you bake it.
