A travel brochure. Destination: Heaven

Remember our post on remembering what God HAS DONE for you?  Let’s take time thinking of our future with Him.  These things He has already done for those who love Him and call Him Savior.  A free gift!  We need only to say YES to Him!  I’m at an advantage because I have the privilege of typing each verse out and while typing worship!  I pray you will not just scroll down the verses but spend some time reading them aloud and worship!  Isn’t it cool to know that for those who call Him Savior, we will each enjoy this list TOGETHER!  I will be with you!  That gives me glory bumps!

If you would like to share this post with someone who does not know Him, or if you want more information on how to accept Jesus as your Savior, I wanted to include further reading: (Let us know if we can be of help too!  Readers would love to pray in unity for someone’s salvation!)

What will Heaven be like for us?

1. A life of fellowship with Him

For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face (1 Corinthians 13:12)

I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also (John 14:3)

2. A life of rest.

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth.  Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works do follow them. (Rev. 14:13)

3. A life full of knowledge.

…now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known (I Corinthians 13:12)

4.  A life of holiness.

Nothing evil will be allowed to enter, nor anyone who practices shameful idolatry and dishonesty–but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Rev. 21:27)

5.  A life of joy.

And God shall wipe all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. (Rev. 21:4)

6.  A life of service.

And there shall be no more curse; but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him. (Rev. 22:3)

7.  A life of abundance.

And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega–the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. (Rev. 21:6)

8. A life of glory.

For our affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (2 Cor. 4:17)

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall you also appear with him in glory. (Col. 3:4)

9.  A life of worship.

And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power unto the Lord our God. (Rev. 19:1)

Song by Phil Wickham – Heaven Song

You wrote a letter and You signed your name
I read every word of it page by page
You said that You’d be coming, coming for me soon
Oh my God I’ll be ready for You

I want to run on greener pastures
I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can’t wait to join the angels and sing my heaven song
I hear Your voice and I catch my breath
‘Well done my child, enter in and rest’
Tears of joy roll down my cheek
It’s beautiful beyond my wildest dreams

I want to run on greener pastures
I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can’t wait to join the angels and sing…

I want to run on greener pastures
I want to dance on higher hills
I want to drink from sweeter waters
In the misty morning chill
And my soul is getting restless
For the place where I belong
I can’t wait to join the angels and sing
No, I can’t wait to join the angels and sing my heaven song
