Did you know that “born again” doesn’t just mean that one has accepted Jesus as Savior.
“Jesus answered, “I assure you, unless someone is born anew, it’s not possible to see God’s kingdom.” John 3:3
Remember when Jesus explained to Nicodemus how to be “born again”?
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
“How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
The word anothen, translated “again” also means “from above.” We are re-created and transformed by His love and power from above–it’s nothing we do here on earth, or man created! And, until we grasp this beautiful, holy exchange we will not see Jesus for who He truly is–our Savior!
Believe on Him today and believe that it is from above! Glory! You have an earthly birthday in which you came into this world into your earthly family. The second birth comes from receiving the love of Jesus and asking Him to be your Savior–born from above for eternity!
