My beloved spoke and said to me,
“Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.
See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth;
the season of singing has come,
the cooing of doves
is heard in our land.The fig tree forms its early fruit;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me.Song of Solomon Chapter 2
As my daughter prepares for her marriage, I am reminded of my beloved and our passionate 25 years of faithful love. I’m overwhelmed with the greatest love–Jesus–, who calls me His beloved.
His love never fails.
God is love.
Arise, my beloved, let me show you just how much I love you! Today may His love be evident, and may you see His love in tangible ways.
He adores you…
Song of Songs 4:6
“Until the day breaks and the shadows flee, I will go to the mountain of myrrh and to the hills of incense.”
Myrrh represents death and dying to ourselves. May our marriages be united by selfless love.
