Basil Olive Oil Dipping Sauce

Basil smells so clean and refreshing! We had good luck with basil this year.  Here is what we created inspired by http://laylita.com/recipes/2013/09/29/basil-oil-sauce/:

I wish I could figure out how to do scratch and sniff on the blog post!

We will call it…hmmmmmmmmmmmmm…….

Basil Olive Oil Dipping Sauce for Bread

A bunch of basil leaves (2-3 cups packed)

1 -2 cups of olive oil depending how thick you want it

2 cloves of garlic

1 tsp of crushed red pepper

1 tsp of oregano leaves

1 tsp Herbes de Provence

The last three herbs are optional.  If you are a basic kind of person eliminate the last three and cut back on the garlic.  😉

Combine ingredients in your food processor or blender.  I have a Ninja. Eat right away or refrigerate until use.  Fresh!  Yummy! The freshness is good for a few days, so eat up and enjoy!
