Within walking distance of the church, we crossed the street. Opening the door we were greeted with a smile and welcome! The small cafe could not accommodate our party at one table, but we enjoyed the small, quaint charm, light pouring from the window, the smell of home cooked meals, and music that matched its charm. Have you ever been to a restaurant and the music is so loud you have to scream to be heard? The soothing music brought joy to my soul.

The menu had an excellent variety of breakfast, sandwiches, and salads. Homemade pickles and sweet potato soup with curry were some of my favorites. My oldest ordered the Farmer’s Salad, and said, “This is the best salad I’ve ever had!” The portions were plentiful and served on old fashioned place settings.

They offer unique opportunities like picnic baskets filled with yummy eats and blanket to take to the park right next door.  Supporting romance, they offer a date night special. For those who have a sweet tooth, they offer homemade cakes and pies.

After a beautiful service at Commonwealth Chapel, we gathered to celebrate and to fellowship in a relaxing atmosphere and delicious cafe.
