A Circle, Unbroken

We are headed to visit our loved one who is on a journey to heal and to discover a new way of life. We are learning how to support her and so many people are praying for us. Last night I had a dream. If you know me well, you know I’m a dreamer like my dad. There are some dreams that I know are a result of the prayers of my circle and the “great cloud of witnesses” in heaven. Here is my dream to prepare my heart for today’s journey to North Carolina.

Brokenness/The Enemy

An incident in which my family was hurting occurred in a store. I went to the owner of the store who said I was too late and he could not help me. He began to get others involved and they smiled at me saying there is nothing you can do. I began to yell at them and advocate for my family. I told them that I would never give up on making this right and holding them accountable for their actions. They began to chase our family out of the store.

The Spirit

A woman appeared out of nowhere and pointed to a church down the road. Go there! You’ll be safe! We found comfort and peace in the midst of this full-gospel, colorful church, and they were bound together by the Spirit and love.

God’s Love

From there, we ran into the field only to discover we were surrounded by a large circle of people. A circle larger than a football field. My loved one was in the arms of an angel, and I began to run to her. The angel said to me, Fear not! I have her!” This angel was strong and radiated love. The angel was actually forbidding me to come. My dad came up behind me and held my shoulders. His presence there brought me comfort and confidence. He said, “Look, Anna, see all these people praying? Do you know that we are praying from heaven, too? Do you see?!” I looked around the circle and saw the faces of loved ones who had gone on to be with the Lord and my friends smiling, crying, hands lifted, and praying. I saw their faces as I know them to be in my mind. Many dreams you know it’s the person from how you feel in the dream, but this time I saw their expressions and knew who they were.

The Promise of His Presence and Healing

A great fire (the Holy Spirit) enflamed the center and the smoke of the fire raised to the heavens.

Gratitude

Thank you friends and family for praying for us. I see you.

Thank you God for giving me a bold dream that reminds me that you are taking care of our loved one. We will trust and believe through the darkest of times. This familiar song played this morning, and I wept in victory and worship!

  1. Anna,
After my Dad passed away in 2008, I missed him telling me, “Everything will be ok. I’m praying for you.” You see, two days after my Dad’s funeral, I had to rush Chris to the hospital. He had a raging fever & they were trying to figure out what infection he had & where it was. He had also been unemployed for 10 months which led to some scary moments mentally with him & our finances were in the pits. We had 2 kids in college & the youngest was a senior in high school. I honestly didn’t know how much more I could take. I needed my Dad to tell me everything is going to be ok & that he was praying for me. I remember Pastor Mark was doing a sermon series on Revelation. He read Revelation 6:10 They shouted to the Lord and said, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you judge the people who belong to this world and avenge our blood for what they have done to us?” Pastor Mark started to explain that those shouting were those who had passed away & that the Lord can hear their shouts. The Lord can hear them!!! They are praying! I started bawling because I realized my Dad is still praying for me & the Lord hears him. What a blessing! Chris did get better after 9 days in the hospital. He didn’t find a job until after another 4 months. God literally carried us through. We were blessed with a kind, caring, praying & generous church family that we can never thank enough. Anna, you have many praying for your family AND your Dad is praying & the Lord hears him. I pray you find peace in knowing. I love you, my friend.

    • Sherry, I find it so amazing how God will use it all to reach us and take care of us.

I led them with cords of human kindness, with bands of love. I was to them like those who lift infants to their cheeks. I bent down to them and fed them. Hosea Chapter 11

I’m so glad you took the time to write this. What I was reminded of, too, was to “Be still” and wait for God’s provision and His timing. Your family is a walking example of faith in God to care for us. The hard times can be so overwhelming, like you said. We need each other’s prayers and love to get us through. We will continue to pray for you and your new location/adventure!
      Anna
