“Night turns to morning
You have been waiting
Whispering to me…”
(Morning Song, by Steffany Gretzinger)
Good morning,
How are you? Do you have a moment to close your eyes and breathe in His love? Can you devote a little more time to worship and attach yourself to Hesed love this morning? His love. Can you pay attention to Him?
Where are you?

Yesterday when I called my mom to check on her at my brother’s house, we talked about the passing of her sister, Aunt Shirley. As we closed in prayer, I was reminded of the Father, who is all things to us. He is our maker, friend, husband, and comforter, comforts us like a mother. He is so much more than this. All through scripture, we learn who is–I AM.
As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you; Isaiah 66:13
I pray for God to help us heal and celebrate how personal He is to us. He knows us. He is that perfect friend who understands what speaks to and comforts us. I pray for my mom and Aunt Shirley’s family to know this comfort. The mother awakens in the middle of the night to wipe tears, rock, feed, and nurture until the soothing brings reassurance that we are not alone.
I pray this for you. I write because I believe in connecting with others, the writing of God’s love, and the love for my family and friends. If you find yourself here, I want you to know that I prayed and asked God to comfort you. I’m listening to the soft rain and imagining the refreshing and replenishing of your soul and mind. Let Him hold you and rock you.
Close your eyes…
