I was driving past a local graveside by our YMCA. I glanced over to see a young couple dressed in black holding each other beside a grave. They were nestled there and not moving for a while. “Oh precious one, who is it you’re talking to? Who are you trying so hard to remember? forgive? talk to beyond the grave? love? adore? reconcile to?”
Jesus holds all time in His hands. Regret is not His will.
Every graveside conversation, and every tear is heard.
Most people would convey – make sure you have those conversations BEFORE your loved one is gone. I agree. But harboring that perfection of relationship causes pain and regret that Jesus would say–give it to me child.
Before the grave. After the grave. He is there………………..all the time………………..available………full of grace………..full of mercy…….
Be at peace…..
