Preparing our hearts

On the way to church, we decided to prepare our hearts for worship.  On 104.7–gospel station, the song I’m still standing was playing.  A man gave his testimony as a part of the song and announced the situations that God brought him through over the years–depression, death of loved ones, hurricane Katrina, cancer……but for every single one he would shout—“But I’m still standing!”

I felt like I was in church with him as I drove to church!  Another song came on and sang the words, “Love is patient, Love is kind” and as I looked over the bridge on Qualla road I saw a young man in the arms of an elderly man outside a small white church praying for each other. Etched in my mind!  How many times does God use “scenes” from His story in us to witness to others and we NEVER know!  Think about that!

I danced into church and witnessed testimony after testimony of God’s faithfulness as folks were sharing their salvation story and then headed to their baptism!  We sang over them as they were baptized!  The sermon was on end times–our study in Woman of Worth, which we had tonight! Just a glorious day of God connecting the dots and answering prayer!  Thank you Jesus…..Now I could go on and on about how relevant the sermon was to my journey……some things we “treasure in our hearts!”  Below is a few seconds of the baptism time.  What a difference purposeful preparation makes in our journey!
