“The Lord is near to all those who call upon Him, who call upon Him in truth” Psalm 145:18

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”  Psalm 34

Scripture shares that we will be brokenhearted and, at times, feel crushed.  He is near when we call upon Him in truth.  His truth comes through His Word.  We had faithful warriors all this week sending scripture by text and email during a critical event. Amazingly the truth came at just the right moment to provide encouragement and healing.

God promises to always be near, even in the moments it seems we will never see past the situation.  He is there working.  God is always working–He never takes a break from redemption work and healing.

If you are feeling crushed and broken, it’s in this place that God is truly near.  He loves you.

Often He loves through His people.  Oh! May we concentrate on loving the broken and speaking kind words of scripture and healing to others.  Pray for God to show you someone you can encourage today in truth.  Take one step towards drawing near to God–He is there waiting for you.
