Have you ever gone through the valley? I don’t mean a bad day or even a bad week. I’m talking months. Feeling like “this” is all there is to life. Wake up, shower, homeschool, maybe slide in a nap, do dishes, laundry, cook dinner, clean up from dinner, shower, (I have to take two a day) put the kids to bed, put myself to bed, and wake up the next morning and hit replay.

This rut I found myself in not too long ago has also been during a time that great joy should have been exploding from me like fireworks on the 4th of July. I’m pregnant. It took a year to conceive. When we least expected it, we received two positive pregnancy tests. He’s healthy and I’m sure he’s pretty darn cute too. But somehow, in the midst of pure joy all I could see were storm clouds with raging thunder…
