We decided to try something a little different this year for Victoria’s birthday! Here is the itinerary if you would like to play in Richmond, VA. I would recommend this for families, couples, friends, or a private get-a-way.
Where we stayed:
Heart of Carytown Beautiful 2 bedroom Apartment above Bev’s Ice-cream
The owner will work with you to rent one night if that is all you need. You are above a wonderful ice-cream shop and across the street from The Byrd Theatre and The New York Deli.

We checked in at 3:00 and then took a Lyft to Hotel Greene. This fun mini golf experience is a unique hotel with great food and décor. The service was friendly and available. Make sure you research when you are going. Reservations and 21 and over rules are different for the day and time you select.
We got back to our little apartment to talk and laugh. Around 9:30 we decided to walk downstairs and enjoy some ice-cream. We shared Bev’s Brownie.
Bev’s Brownie Sundae
warm homemade chocolate chip or walnut brownie, regular scoop topped with homemade hot fudge or strawberries, any topping of choice, and fresh whipped cream
We stayed up until midnight talking and laughing. We shared our hearts, our dreams, and personal things that only come out when you have the time and space to listen and slow down. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of the night life, and we believe a wedding was taking place at The Byrd Theatre! We saw the Bride and Groom on top of the roof and heading into the Venue. How cute!
Victoria and I have enjoyed years of get-a-ways together. We reminisced on a time we went to The Chamberlin Hotel

and Camp Willow Run. It was fun to remember. Here is a picture from the past. Look how young we both are in this picture, Victoria. I’ve had so much fun with you through the years. I love you. There is my sweet Amanda, too.

The next morning we woke up to coffee and conversation. With a 12:00 check-out, you can settle in and relax.
We had brunch at The Daily. We sat next to an open window with a lovely breeze. The bagel with cream cheese, tomatoes, and capers was a delightful start.
We found a new store-The Spice and Tea Exchange-and bought lots of yummy sugars, tea, and spices. They also serve tea!
We went to Ashby and found a new dress and a few tops for Victoria! A great consignment shop.
Other shops we love:
Lou Lou
The Paper Source
Mongrel
Lineage

Jean-Jacques bakery is now a yummy bagel shop. We purchased bagels for Sunday morning with family. I enjoyed my bagels with Parish in the prayer garden this morning.
It was nice to come home to Spencer and the grandchildren. I dropped Victoria off and enjoyed some time with her family. Spencer was baking a cake with the children and had just mopped the floor.
It’s nice to get-a-way and love on each other. I’m so blessed to have this time with you my sweet Victoria Louise. Thank you for giving of your time to connect and love.
I love Victoria’s sunflower dress! So bright and cheerful. Happy Belated Birthday Victoria! What wonderful memories you two made spending 1:1 time together! Memories to cherish forever

Yes! Do you know I have a dress just like that! I kept saying I wish I had brought it to wear, too.
